A native of East Tennessee, John E. Eldridge is a 1979 graduate of the University of Tennessee School of law, and has been practicing criminal law for over 25 years. Although he is located in Knoxville, he has represented citizens accused of crimes in most of the counties of East Tennessee. His practice includes federal and state court criminal trial work including murder, internet/computer crimes, theft, sex offenses, drug conspiracy, bank robbery, escape and vehicular homicide, as well as Sessions (misdemeanor) including DUI, assault, domestic assault, reckless driving, vandalism and Juvenile Court work.
Mr. Eldridge is certified as a Criminal Law Specialist, a coveted certification from the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a past President of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a Master of the Bench (and past president) of the Hamilton Burnett American Inn of Court. Tennessee Business magazine listed Mr. Eldridge as one of Tennessee's "Best 100 Lawyers".
Working with Mr. Eldridge is his Associate, Robert R. Kurtz, a 2000 cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Law.
